About Dr Oyewole

For more than two decades Dr Oyewole was also an NHS consultant, holding senior roles at Central and North West London (CNWL) NHS Trust — including Consultant Lead for Inpatients in Harrow and Lead Clinician for Adult ADHD across London.

He is proudest of starting a regional NHS Adult ADHD service from nothing and developing it until it was seeing up to 600 patients a year. He personally has experience of over 500 ADHD shared-care cases with GPs.

His work has ranged across inpatient, outpatient, community, prison and private settings — including leading mental-health services at Wormwood Scrubs Prison, serving as a Mental Health Tribunal expert, advising Samaritans, and teaching as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial Medical College, London. Earlier in his career he was a Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial and GlaxoSmithKline Beecham.

Alongside his clinical work he ran a medico-legal practice for 17 years, providing psychiatric expert-witness reports in criminal, civil, family and employment cases.

Throughout, his special interest has been the difficult cases: patients who have seen many clinicians without answers. Third and fourth opinions are a regular part of his practice.
